BBK DAV College for Women continues to strengthen its commitment to skill-based and industry-oriented education by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed industry partners across diverse sectors. The MoUs were signed with GKX Ethnic Wear, Digital Velocity Pvt. Ltd., AOSC Technologies, Timeless Aesthetics, and Shahnaz Hussain Salon.
These strategic collaborations aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical exposure by providing students with opportunities for internships, hands-on training, workshops, industrial visits, expert lectures, and placement support. Special emphasis has been placed on enhancing professional and vocational programmes to ensure that students acquire industry-relevant skills and real-world experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia stated that BBK DAV College for Women firmly believes that meaningful industry-academia collaboration is the cornerstone of holistic education. She added that these MoUs will enable students to gain practical skills, professional grooming, and exposure to current industry practices, thereby enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial potential.
The MoUs will particularly benefit various B.Voc. programmes of the college, including B.Voc. Software Development, B.Voc. Cosmetology, B.Voc. Retail Management, B.Voc. Entertainment Technology, and B.Voc. Banking and Financial Services.
Dr. Kamayani Anand, Dean, Academics, along with coordinators of various B.Voc. programmes including, Mr. Anurag Gupta, Mr. Hardeep Singh, Dr. Beenu Kapoor, and Dr. Sweety Bala, were present at the event. Ms. Neetu Bala, Head, PG Department of Commerce, Ms. Mandeep Sodhi and Ms. Priya Dhawan from the PG Department of Commerce, and Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Department of Multimedia also attended the event.
