Eligibility: 10+2 of any recognized Board in any stream with at least 40 % marks.

The course mainly focuses on techniques of graphic designing, advertising & computer artworks. So the course contents are the exquisite blend of fine arts, design & computers. The course covers the basics of drawing 2D & 3D designs, print making, advertising, photography & computer graphics.

In the present era, media, photography, advertisement & graphics are playing a paramount role. Almost all television channels, film industry & other media houses are using applied art for widening its viewer base. The education industry is also using applied art for imparting innovative training. So there is a massive demand for trained applied art professionals. However, there are only a few recognized courses offered by various universities and some private institutes to produce professionals which is certainly not enough. In order to meet requirement, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar has introduced Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Art. The course has been started with the goal of imparting training various aspects of applied art to meet the need of fast growing applied art.
