Ms. Gurpreet Kaur of BBK brought laurels to her alma-mater by participating in Netball Asian Championship, 2018 held at Singapore from 01 Sept. to 09th Sept., 2018. Total 12 countries participated in this Championship i.e. India, Singapore, Thailand, Shri Lanka, Hong Kong, Brunei, Maldives, Pakistan, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia and Chinese Tie-Pie.
This is a great honour for Punjab and the college, as Gurpreet Kaur is the only player from Punjab State to represent India in the Championship.
Mr. Gagan Chopra, an eminent businessman from Canada, Sh. Sudarshan Kapoor, LMC Chairman, S. Mohinderjit Singh, Dr. V.P. Lakhanpal, LMC member, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achiever and motivated her to maintain her performance in future as well. The Principal added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. She said that the college was always ready to help players who can make the country and institute proud.
Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, and Physical Education teacher Rajdeep Kaur felicitated the player on her achievement.
