Title: Dept. of Zoology organised a Guest Lecture on "Diverse Possibilities in Applied Biology"
News:
A DBT sponsored guest lecture on "Diverse Possibilities in Applied Biology" was organised by Zoology Department of BBK DAV College. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Anish Dua, Professor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He was welcomed by Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and Dr. Rashmia Kalia, Co-ordinator, Department of Zoology. In his lecture, the learned scholar covered all the possibilities in the field of biology, focusing on various fields where biology comes into action. He introduced a term 'DELI' i.e. Deeply Embedded Life Interest and asked the students to find out their interest and workhard for it with full dedication and determination. He talked about the importance of wetland with special reference to Harike Wetland and addressed various environmental and pollution concerns across international waters through strategic partnership. He enlightened the students about the importance of trees by comparing the oxygen provided by a single leaf that we pluck unintentionally, with the oxygen cylinder available in the market. Then he honoured the toppers of Science Department.
